KDG HID BALLAST

Introduction
* The product is an electronic control unit that consistently regulates power supply to the bulb and
the ignitor during the initialization and normal states of arc. It is a hi-tech product with an ignitor
embedded.   

 HID system configuration
(1) Bulb: The xenon gas and mercury metal halide salts inside a light emitting tube are energized
and emit light when the molybdenum electrode discharges plasma.
(2) Ignitor: This is an electric transformer that increases the voltage of the current received from
the ballast to turn on the arc light source in any environment. It helps initializes plasma discharge
in the source by delivering high voltage pulse to the electrode.
(3) Ballast: This is an electronic control unit that consistently regulates power supply to the bulb
and the ignitor during the initialization and normal states of arc

Advantages of HID lighting systems
Compared with the existing halogen lamps and the filament type lamps that emit light through the
filament by using DC12V, this product does not require filament replacement, which would be
otherwise required when the filament is broken. Compared with halogen lamps, this HID lighting
system guarantees 50% less power consumption, and three times more light and five times
longer lifespan. As it consumes only 35w, it can meet the requirements for lower fuel costs,
higher efficiency and stability altogether.
As the color of the light emitted from the HID lighting system is similar to that of sunlight, it will
cause no burden or discomfort to the eyes and help enhance visibility at night for drivers to see
clearly the road ahead at a wider and longer range. As a result, drivers would feel less fatigue
and could see the road conditions in adverse conditions (when raining for example). It provides
excellent effect in terms of safe driving. It needs to be understood that more than half of the car
accidents that occurred at night are attributable to inappropriate lighting systems and elderly
people would need 10 times more light compared with younger drivers.

Features
* The KDG models are divided into K1 and AT. K1 is an open type product with a structure
identical to that of the hella ballast. AT is a type of ballast that is exclusively used for new imported
cars.
