EPIC-D300 adopt Fault Detection schemes for Phase fault (A/B/C), Ground fault (N), and even Sensitive Earth fault (SEF). As
equipped with fully configurable setting value ranges, EPIC D300 series can be used as Distribution Automation equipment in various
faulted environments for the rapid fault restoration and blackout minimization.
EPIC-D300 have powerful RTU functions, for automation system, such as monitoringA of all the related status information, measuring
of most of electric values, and controlling of load break switch or recloser body, locally and remotely through the widely used communication
links and protocols. Measurement function of EPIC D 300, for example, covers even up to True RMS values of voltage and
current, harmonics up to 32nd and THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) as well as general metering, since EPIC D300 have their voltage and
current inputs from 6 PT's (3 PT's for source-side and 3 PT's for load-side) and 3CT's. Basically these inputs come from internal CT/PT
of switch body through control cable, but EPIC D300 series are designed to easily connected to external CT/PT.
EPIC-D300 also have event and fault recording functions for fault analysis and load profiling. All the events and fault information are
listed in the text lines or fault waveform can be graphically displayed in the setting & analysis tool (FRTU_SET_TOOL).
And, demand / daily-maximum current and power are stored in a non-volatile memory for the load profiling.
